This is a 1 – 3 months Intensive English Course designed for learners to learn and covers the necessary major language skills including: grammar, vocabulary, conversation/ speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading, comprehension and writing.
Learners who undergo this course will attend either 6-12 lessons (9-18 hours) per week from Tuesday to Sunday with 1.5-3 hours per day, depending on learner's learning capability and level.

Classroom and activity-based teaching methods are crafted to stimulate and inspire learning, which will focus on practical delivery of all the major language skills and stresses effective and fluency of the English Communication in everyday situations and business settings.

What is this programme?
This programme is an English course, carefully designed and planned for young children in improving their English foundation and also to prepare to take a Cambridge YLE Test.
- aged 6 years and above
- has little or basic foundation in English
- is ready to learn English at an International Level
- at the end of this course, young learners will sit for a Cambridge Examination.

This course is designed to inculcate the fundamentals in English for young children

We adopt 100% titles from the OXFORD University Press which has been specially designed for Children taking a Cambridge Young Learners’ course.

IELTS or TOEFL? What are the Differences?

Congratulations!

You are now ready to take an important internationally recognized examination in order to prove your mastery of the English language before enrolling into a university. However, the only problem is that there are quite a number of exams to choose from!

Two of the most important examinations that are widely accepted by Universities around the world are the IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) and the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

Below are the Similarities & Differences between IELTS & TOEFL.

IELTS or TOEFL

The Similarities

Both are English language tests aimed at pre-university students planning to make the step to higher education. Both evaluate how well you can combine your Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills in the language of English.

The Differences

The scoring system are different, with IELTS rating between 0 and 9, with halfway points in between. TOEFL gives a more numerical SAT-type grade, totalling your scores from all the areas. This gives an insight into another key difference.

TOEFL is administered by the Educational Testing Service, a non-profit US based organisation, and conducts its test according to American English. 

IELTS is administered jointly by the British Council & the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, and conducts its test in British English. 

While the differences are not as great as some assume, accents and spelling variations can cause a problem for some students.
